What idiots!! The sky is a sphere encapsulating the globe. The atmosphere if you will. Don't you remember that the Earth is round? Isn't there sky above all of it?

From where I live on top of a mountain, it looks like a 180 degree dome. But in reality the sky is amorphic.

it's a dome.... i used to think it was flat. But since the earth itself is round naturally the sky(atmosphere) will be a dommy rounded shape... sorry if i am getting to scientifical (is that even a word?).

the sky--or what we see of it, is dome shaped. The entire atmosphere around the earth is a hollow sphere (hollow where the earth is).
