If you think about it, they'd look pretty silly painted pink, yes? Euclid equipment is painted a light green, closer to vermilion.
Cats are not the only ones painted yellow. Case equipment is also yellow, and very close to the shade of "cat yellow." Hyster's products are a shade of yellow as well
Older ford tractors, such as the 9N, came from the factory in a pleasing red and gray scheme.
Allis-Chalmers are out shopped in a reddish orange and Kaboda
(spelling?) products are delivered up white.
Komatsu's make the scene in both red or yellow.
If one really wants to accessorize, your Cat can be painted in a custom color if you wish, but better have lots of long green for that.
Back to the original question, Cat yellow is a recognized shade around the world. To the perceptive it is readily distinguishable from the other yellow tractors on the market. 'Cause there ain't nothin' like a Cat........................................

Visibllity and warning of hazard. (not many yellow buildings around). Think of most hard hats worn on sites. The yellow and black banding of wasps and bees warn "stay away" - the harmless hoverfly blagged this. The yellow tape with diagonal black banding, placed around holes, other hazards and scenes of crime.
The yellow and black diagonal banding on the front of older trains and back of most british trucks. The "branding" colour of caterpillar plant is probably a red herring as JCB plant and a lot of Japanese and Korean stuff has long been yellow. From a distance you can see the yellow a long long time before you see any manufacturer's nomenclature,
Hope this helps.

Like Karen reported, ghee is misguided, all emulsion is arcylic, Matt, silk, mid shine its all arcylic. Arcylic ability water based btw. Any no you are able to no longer upload food colouring to paint, Karen's answer is stable, the food colouring will fade, in spite of in case you do no longer wash the partitions. in case you're taking your bathtub of paint in to a shop that has a colour mixture station, (maximum b&qs do) communicate to them exact, they could upload dyes to get the colour you go with for, you're able to must be arranged for it to be ruined thoroughly although, as its no longer in basic terms as user-friendly as including blue dye, gray paint has blue dye in it as an occasion and magnolia has pink, whilst they mixture paint for you on the shop they're using recipes to make suited colours from a base paint, as you would be taking a waiting made shade in it may be organic geuss artwork as to how lots of what dyes must be extra to get the colour you go with for, they won't do for you in any respect although, if no longer flow to your community deulux decorators centre, the staff in there are various greater effectual knowledgeable and likewise lots greater powerful. Tbh your maximum suitable decision is procuring a bathtub of paint in the colour you go with for.
