Hey, I have a remedy for that coz I am from a land of Orchids.Like other flowers Orchids also shades it's petals and leaves at it's own time.So absolutely nothing is wrong with your Orchids. For next year, what you'd have to do is just keep it somewhere in a moistened area like under the shades of bush in your garden or if it is a small plant you can just tie it up around a healthy tree branch also, but it does need lot of moisture from where it gets water.Orchid is an indoor plant that's why it needs lot of shades particularly from other plants like trees, bushes, climbers etc. However, you cannot water it everyday coz it dies soon if it is too much .Once in three days is enough, just a cup is fine. All it needs is own source of water from moisture. The best manures you could give to it is good black fertile soil and some used tea leaves.Try this, your Orchid will come up much bigger and beautiful next year.

The most important thing to do for an orchid is keep it humid!
They are tropical plants and will die in a few months iff they are not kept in humid conditions.
The average home has a humidity level of about 15%.
They need ATLEAST 50%.
This can be accomplished in several ways, from using a humidifier to keep a room humid to keeping it in a terrarium.
They also need a decent amount if light if kept indoors,so a flourescent growlight is very helpfull.
Watering is also very important, I have 9 orchids and water them twice a day. But i waterthem with ONLY a misting bottle.
I spray the roots in the morning and early evening. Thy dry withing about an hour so no need to worry about root rot.
Since most of mine are kept bare rooted, in a basket, i soak them in liquid plant food for about 10 minutes every few weeks.
If your is in a moss soil, i would still use liquid food about once a month, and water only when the moss dries out completely.
Doing this, my orchid have doubled in size over the last year and i expect them to bein blooming in about 1 month
good Luck!!!!!
