This is a two way street. Mexico needs to solve its own problems Mexican citizens should be demanding that the Mexican government change its ways and do a better job in creating jobs and opportunity for its own people. Only then will the influx of immigrants taper off. You don't see Canadiens spilling over the border to america. if Canada can do it, than Mexico can do it. What good is it to be a country when all your citizens move elsewhere.

We did spend billions on business in Mexico. The wages that were offered were considered good for people living in Mexico. Businesses were never going to offer American style wages because they couldn't afford it in the first place. Now, mexico is considered too expensive. We build factories in Bangladesh and Malayasia now.

When you say America should do this, I must assume you mean the American government or the Federal government. The American government is not in business and does not create jobs, per se. It's not a duty of the government and we shouldn't ask them to do it. I want a limited government. A government that governs least, governs best.

Government can promote a better business climate in our country but they have little power promoting business in another country. What politician is going to stick his neck out to form a policy that could, in theory, move jobs to Mexico rather than mainstreet USA?

I think they already did this sort of thing. Ford has built factories to build cars there and I am sure that McDonalds and other business ventures have attempted to infiltrate Mexico but yes I agree with you it would be another way to attempt to stop the inflow in the USA.

Ok Dr. Economics. You should apply for Secretary of Finance. I hate these rhetorical reasoning questions. They have a corrupt government and need a lot more than a couple of Bil to catch up to the first world nations.

yeah... its a good thing that in mexico corruption doesn't exist, or crime, or robbery - because if they did, sending money down would only give money to people who don't work who would blow it all and gang wars would erupt over shipped money and crime rates would go up because suddenly everyone had extra money in their homes and the American public criticized the president for spending the money for nothing... its a good thing none of that stuff would happen, so i guess its just a grand old idea!

There are a ton of businesses in Mexico. You drive over the border and you will think you are in any business park in the US.

Spend money for another country? Hmmmm, you're an idiot! Let them fix themselves. For every job "we" would create with "great" pay, one job would be lost to an American who could get work and feed their family. Why not focus on "us" and let the rest do what they can with their own countries.

That's brilliant. While we're at it, we could just boost the economy in a lot of other countries while we ignore the economy here. We could become so poor that no one would want to move here. You shouldn't quit your day job.

We need to keep our money here in the United States and help the Americans born here and raised here... That's our problem we help outsiders more than anything else...and enough is enough.
