We don't know, because we haven't got there, and anyone of "them" came here.
Given the size of the universe, the possibility is very likely. Also given the size of the univers, the cance that it will be close is small.
Sorry, but this is the best answer you should get, short of those crackpots who claim that they meet regularly with aliens, or that the ARE aliens form outer space.

Billions of stars per galaxy, Trillions of galaxies. What is the chances of Earth being the only one with life?
(Heb 11:13-16)All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers ON Earth.

My theory is that life was brought to earth from some other planet, and that earth is a biological experiment of one or more alien species.

pure math and probability based on facts tells us there is a 100% chance is there is alien life but there is no proof yet. sometimes i believe they are already among us :-) probably on Yahoo Answers, trying to find out about our culture... :-)

Yes, I have been abducted many times. They probed me and subjected me to horrific experiments.
At first the probing hurt like hell but now I like it. When they don't show up I have to call them, I can't go without it.
Send me your address and I'll take you along next time.

yes, yes, yes. 100%, and also in our own solar system, both in the past (mars, iapetus, moon base) and also in the future (europa, titan, callisto) the illusion of time is beautiful.
