I've heard good things about Sandpiper, although I haven't read it personally. You might also try these books by Wittlinger: Hard Love, and Heart On My Sleeve.

But I have read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson and loved it. If you loved Speak, you might enjoy reading Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. It is similar in many ways, although it has its differences too. It is more about family dynamics and problems in addition to peer problems (rejection by friends, misunderstandings, whatnot). Sarah Dessen is one of my favorite YA authors...and so is Sonya Sones.

This site could help you although it is undergoing maintenance today (at the time of this answer) but be patient and you shall find more books :)

I loved the book Speak and If you liked that book I think you'll like Aimee by Mary Beth Miller it's about a girl that was accused of murdering her best friend. And all her other best friends believed she did and ignored her, accpet one. Its really sad. Oh, Lifetime made a movie based on the book Speak. Its ok.

the lady In Black by using using Susan Hill. that's a ghost tale so I have not have been given any thought if youin case you're able to prefer to earnings it in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that's excellently written. an exceptionally annoying e book that I additionally stumbled on particularly frightening yet that's carefully non-supernatural is 'Complicity' by using using Iain Banks.
