I grew up in the 50s and 60s,and in the LA market we had the BEST! I can't remember the order but it was like this.Skipper Frank would host the "Merry Melodies" the Warner Bros. cartoons made before Bugs got popular, some were creepy too! Then Tom Hatten would host "Popeye cartoons" and he would have some kid draw a squiggle on a piece of paper then he'd make a picture out of it(facinating to a 6 yr old). Then Engineer Bill would come on with his huge train set. He'd show Colonel Bleep cartoons(I know they sucked). He always played "Red lite Greenlite"When the green lite came on you'd drink your milk when the red lite came on you'd stop. Then of course there was Sheriff John he was cool,he had an Andy Griffith kaki uniform. You could send him drawings and he'd show them on TV.Yes I had one shown it was 'Don't get in cars with strangers'and I used the Don Martin character from Mad magazine. Then there was Chuck Jones the Magic Man he showed Rocky and Bullwinkle(I also sent him a picture of 'Mr. Peabody and Sherman' that he showed)Well there were more but too many to mention.

Holy Cow! theGodWatcher has my list! I forgot about most of those, but definitely watched them. What about Space Coaster(not a cartoon I guess) and Monchichis and Shirttails.
Does anyone from the 80's remember the fall cartoon special where they would show previews of all the new Saturday morning cartoons?
I also remember the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon. Anyone else?

Bugs Bunny/ Road Runner Show was the main one.
Dad would watch it with me, when it was over he would go off elsewhere and I would sometimes watch Superfriends...
