No I use it because I am too indecisive to figure out life's most important questions.

I got married because a Yahoo! Answers user told me too. I also ate my own testicles.

Impatient maybe ... a mother or a dad caring for a small child napping in their crib and can't go out to find out info .. or even if that is not reason enough maybe the child isn't feeling well and going out is not an option .. or maybe working from home and wanting to take a breather to help others answer their questions right? i do alot of investing online and sometimes it sure is nice to take a breather and find a more .. shall we say ... 'alive' version of an answer rather than flip to page 58 and read lines 10 to 40 ..

But lazy? naw .. lazy is when a person isn't even willing to get up and turn on a computer or type in a search query .. now THAT is lazy :)

A lot of people are lazy. It seems like the younger generations are getting lazier as a general rule, probably because of the new and improving technology that makes everything easier. If there's an easier way of doing something, why do it the hard way, right? And today's society makes it a lot easier... we have drive-thru windows at restaurants, the bank, even the pharmacy. They make packaged hot dogs IN the buns, and peanut butter and jelly IN the same jar (two of the easiest foods on earth to make) because people must actually think it is THAT hard to open seperate packages! So yeah, I'd say Americans are getting lazier than ever, and its just getting easier to do.

No, it doesn't mean we're lazy, I think that sometimes people just want an answer from REAL people who are just like you and me, instead of getting an answer from somewhere on the computer or library. In my opinion, the reason for that is because people feel like they can trust answers from actual people rather than an answer from a book or a computer's search engine, plus you can't always rely on "internet resources" and whatnot, you never know what's true or not. Other reasons could be because people are just curious about others' opinions or views on certain things, and you know an actual person is responding to your question so you get a diverse range in answers about things that a computer or book can't always give you, not to mention TONS of details!

Hope this answered your question.

P.S.
I forgot to mention, asking questions on here can also help consume time for those who are bored.

Yes you could goggle it as I have thought of that, and I have goggled information to check up on my train of thought before answering, but No I use answers to get out a statement or a different perspective or to share something which I may offer someone else so how is that being lazy?--- speaking for others like myself-- however I sure there is some lazy ones too.

Most questions aren't for homework, people want responses and it's not for lazy people. Cheaters aren't going to ask their signicant other for info. Kids who play games aren't going to ask how to get to level 25. Married couples aren't going to go to a counselor who just goes home to share their work with their family bragging about how stupid the people were. (even though they aren't suppose to) Hopefully you know where I am going with this, as big of a world this is and as many people there are in it, we as a society are lonely and want to stand out or at least know we are heard. We have questions that most don't care about in our lives when we do. This is just another method of knowing we are not alone.

i think of you are the lazy one for not being able to spelling out monosyllabic words once you're basically saving very small fractions of a 2d by using not typing 4 greater advantageous characters. And starring questions ability they are exciting. If the question isn't exciting, it does not get starred. not a rely of laziness.

A lot of them are lazy-I've noticed the same things.

Yes, unfortunately, I think in general we have become a very lazy society. No one does anything for themselves anymore.
