Six to eight is sufficient. There have been surprising studies done that show that those who sleep six hours may be better rested than their longer sleeping peers. They believe this is linked to sleep stages, and the point at which the six hour sleepers awake.

7-8 hours is sufficient. Sleeping more that may make you tried. Sleeping less can effect your memory as well as ability to reason. I know many adult that only sleep 5-6 hours a day and still able to fuction properly.

8 is supposed to be the average number, but I would say maybe 9 would be better......that one more hour can do wonders! But I also like to sleep about 10....it sounds like a lot, but I work a lot and am tired when I get home!

8 hours of sleep is best but each hour you sleep after midnight, add an extra 3 hours
