I recommend getting waxed by a professional, just because they do a good job, and they are fast. But if you insist doing it yourself, then I recommend you buy some wax that can be heated. Hot wax, helps stick to the hair and helps it remove better. First apply baby powder on the skin that you intend to wax, the apply the hot wax and then apply the strip. When applying the wax strip, rub it on your skin in the direction of which your hair is growing, and then remove as fast as possible in the opposite direction. And repeat if necessary.

Make sure wax is warm enough but not hot (wax strips are probably better). Make sure your hair is long enough (2mm for wax strips, 5mm+ for warm wax). Apply wax the way hair grows and pull up sharply and parallel to the leg (so not away from the body) in opposite direction of hair growth. Ensure you pull skin taut otherwise it'll hurt too much and bruise.

DON'T DO IT!!! we truly believe that only professionals have the best techniques of doing this...we are prone to hesitating, counting to three, not pulling hard enough, and giving up in the middle of it all (which hurts like HELL!). it's totally worth the money going to have it done...waxing is the best, just don't do it yourself!

happy waxing,

I would think it's difficult to wax on your own. If you don't do it properly you could end up doing something wrong. Try going to a professional.

actual, you're able to do it your self in case you choose to. it fairly is right to get a non-warmth wax kit in case you're a beginner. Walmart, Walgreens, or any drugstore contains Sally Hansen, which contains handy wax kits.

I would leave it to the professionals, but if you are going to try it, pop a couple of Tylenols first. Actually, that's good advice if you get it done professionally, too.
