Being a Caucasian female who have lived in many different parts of the world, thanks to my father being in the military. I have met all people of different races. But I have come to notice that some NOT ALL men would only approach me because I was white. If the only thing that is suppose to matter in a relationship is love, honesty and commitment then why do some guys go after girls based on race.

The truth is, always has been, and always will be that no matter how politically correct we become as a society, people are always going to have preferences. You do, I do, and everyone else in the world does too. Some people have preferences about hair color, eye color, height, weight, interests, intelligence, life experiences, or beliefs. Some people also have preferences about race, culture, or nationality. Some people may find particular traits of a certain culture to sync up with what they want in a potential boyfriend or girlfriend. Others may simply find the physical attributes of that race attractive. It's not about whether or not the individual in question has a specific preference for a particular ethnicity. It's whether or not they value those individuals they have relationships with as people and see them as the individuals that they are.

-Why do some guys only go after girls because they're pretty?

Basically, some people think that certain races are better-looking than others...I don't think it has anything to do with real love, but it definitely plays a part in how physically attractive you may find a person...for example, if you love guys with blue eyes and blond hair, you probably won't be attracted to an African guy. Or if you're attracted to girls with curly red hair then you probably wouldn't be attracted to an Asian girl. It shouldn't affect the relationship though...if you love them, it just doesn't matter how they look.

Liza to answer your question lets go back in history. The middle ages saw the glory of empires like Moghuls (modern day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and other smaller countries) which lasted from 1526 A.D to 1857 A.D. when the caucassian British killed the freedom movement and started to rule the vast kingdom for another 90 years. The entire complexion of the social fabric changed. Instead of local and native rulers the asians (and lets also remember that this is the most thickly populated regions of the world) were now faced with ruthless rulers who spoke an alien language, the ruled them mercilessly in a foreign and alien code of law which didn't give them any chance to speak out. The British (or for that matter French, Dutch, Portugese and later American colonialism in Asia, Africa and Southern America) rule made people wonder and fear their rulers. They attributed this awe and respect to the color of their skins, the race. White men and women slowly were looked up to as the different-hence-superior human beings. They did breed the feelings of inspiration in arts and literature but for the most part it was hatred, and that inherent explore-them-to-find-out-what/who-are-they feeling which led these men and women to seek the core of white complexion's wisdom and so-called superiority. I totally understand why you were sought after so eagerly. In you these men saw the epitome of someone who is beyond their reach, an ultimate pleasure and to some of them may be, a divine object/ being. That love thrives on honesty and loyalty is still the bases of relationship everywhere but its the skin color that matters as you can observe any Indian/ Pakistani/ Bangladeshi/ Indonesian/ African/ Peruvian newspaper or family would ask for a fair maiden for marrying a son.
Does that answer your curiosity:) Please remember that this is one aspect and ethnic-cultural relationships can go beyond the scope of this discussion.
Thanks for asking a great question:)

Because not everything happens the way it is SUPPOSED to. People are attracted first to a person's physical appearance; just like hair, eyes, body type and shape, skin color is a part of that. Everyone is different, and almost everyone has a preference about what they find attractive in a mate. Not everyone is openminded enough to get to know someone they aren't instantly attracted to. Sorry but that is how things work sometimes.
