There is not an imbalance that is occuring. Your nails are merely dead skin cells, which will serve you no nutritional purpose. This is not a sign of chemical imbalance, either. It is a psychological addiction for some people, but for most, it is merely a bad habit.

Probably no imbalance, it's just a thing you associate with comfort, although some people do it when they're bored simply as a form of bran stimulation. But it's not the result of any imbalances.
