Its important because without dreams you have nothing to work for or look forward to. Dreams is what I belive what keeps us going in life for what we really want and look forward to.

You can live 30 days without food, 3 days without water, 3 minutes without air but you can't live 3 seconds without hope.
Alot of people will tell you to succeed you need to set goals. You have to know where you're going and when you're going to arrive but without a payoff or a dream to inspire you and keep you going when the times get tough, you need a dream. It has to be a burning desire greater than the adversities you'll meet along the path to your goal, because there will be road blocks along the way and you can loose sight of the goal but you'll never forget the dream once your catch it. It's something you can see over the top of the roadblocks.

Oh yes, dreams are what make us alive. Without dreams we are boring deadbeats with all the life sucked out of us.
Sometimes the journey is just as rewarding as the ends. That's why the harder it is to obtain something makes us appreciate it that much more.

Yes, it gives you something to look forward to, to work towards. if you don't have a motivation in life, you'll end staying at home, or hating your job (like most people, the job part) or worse, living in your brother's dayroom!

They aspire you to do more with your life, without dreams you would be lead a pretty mundane life.
