I am trying to help my sister with a speech for her class. She needs to find an article or something that's Erin Brocovich'esque, but about ground contaimination/pollution. She is going to use it for her opening about recycling. Can you help?

Look for superfund sites on google, or research the various things we pollute with. I think diapers are a big polluter that not too many people think about. There are also issues with large live stock operations like hog farms polluting ground water, and the other ways that animal waste can be recycled as fertilizer, but isn't.

Try the EPA website and the your local county website. Usually on your local site they will tell you about any problems with current, past, or possible pollution of groundwater in the area. The EPA website as an entire section on groundwater pollution. Department of Natural Resources will also be able to give you some information/articles on groundwater contamination and soil contamination, since both are considered natural resources.
