Well, you will save on electricity, which means you can splurge on a delectable dinner, by candle light, of course. You could probably even get away with not styling your hair and wearing your old, warn, comfy t-shirt. ((your date won't be able to see you well)) & Who doesn't look their best in candlelight, right? Your date will see you at the top of your 'romantic' game! Also, when you and your date are finished with dinner, don't forget to blow the candles out. ((we don't want to take a chance of the possible negative ramifications of that!)) If you're lucky, you could get some use of those special features on your video camera, like night vision!?

Sounds like fun...I think I will go unscrew my dining room light bulb now.

If you leave a bad bulb in there long enough it can draw moisture and rust into the socket making it just about impossible to change at a later date. Even if the socket doesn't work I'd pull the bulb out until I could repair the socket, just make sure that no one can stick a finger in there and accidentally close the circuit and get electrocuted.

you have the two tripped a swap aka breaker or blown a fuse. If that's a breaker you purely ought to look and notice which one is in the off place, that's down quite than up. as quickly as you have replaced the undesirable bulb purely carry the down breaker, it is going to artwork ok . Fuses purely decide for checking or changing in case you're not sure if one has blown. in case your fuse board isn't labelled, then take the concern to be certain which fuse/breaker components which circuit, and label all of them needless to say. this could shop multiple tension in the long term. shop a torch close to the fusboard so which you will see the fuse board whilst the lights fixtures do no longer artwork.

my best friend is married to an electrician, she can't get a light bulb changed to save her life. she's short she can't reach the high ones and he is very tall.

but to answer your question, you will stub your toe on the dining room chairs and table whenever you walk through. and inevitably another one will go out and it will get even darker and then you will bang your shin. and then the last one will go out and you willbe too scared of hurting yourself even worse to go in the dining room. it will get dusty, and then you will sneeze, and then you will throw out your back and won't be able to work. because you aren't working you will lose your house and then the new people who move in will have a dusty, dark, dining room and you will be homeless. all because of one silly little light bulb! so for the love of all that is good in the world, just change it!

does the socket itself not work or is the bulb simply blown. If the bulb is blown change it, if the socket isn't working call and electrician. I doubt that you will be in any danger of electrical fire if that is your concern. I have several blown light bulbs in my house, which reminds me I need to go change them.
