your absolute best bet would be to start at http://www.pricewatch.com

from there you can select from 1000's of manufacturers and suppliers at prices SOOOO unbelievable!!!

There are also legitimate reviews of the companies that others like you and I have purchased from. Most of the sites posted there will allow you to custom configure ALL the options on mobo's and cooling systems. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by this site. And most of the sites offer great warranties!

All of the sites will give in-depth explanations as to what each components do for you and what will best suit your needs.

Good luck!

Okay, you'll definitely want a heatpipe heatsink (what that site calls a cooler). For the motherboard, get one of the Skt. 775 Asus, the more expensive, the better, since the motherboard is the most important part of any computer, NOT the processor. I'd recommend getting either one of the boards with the 945 chipset, since the 975's are great, but not for the prices they are charging for them.

Oh, and DEFINITELY pay either $10 extra for the 7300GS or better yet, $56 extra for the 7600GS video card. You won't regret it, even if you won't be using it for gaming. Of course, if you plan on not doing any gaming, just get the 7300GS.

cooling is more a function of the case than it is the motherboard
get a case with 3 or more mounts for fans.
