No! You should check the return policy carefully before buying the tickets. Sometimes there will be heavy charges for cancellation.

It depends if it is a bulk rate or regular ticket. The policy can vary not only with the airline, but the specific flight you are taking. Most tickets are not refundable, but they will often give you a credit, assuming you have a good reason to cancel, for another time to travel. With a lot of tickets, there is just a penalty fee, like $150 or so, for cancelling. Again, it really depends on the airline and your trip. You should also consider getting travel insurance, which will cover you if you need to cancel for a good reason, like you get sick.

a lot of airline tickets are NOT refundable...usually lower fare. If you go through a travel agent, the cost of their services may or may not be refundable, but whether the ticket is refundable or not really depends on the airline.

no, refundable tickets cost more and you usually have to request them. If you go through a travel agent sometimes they have an insurance you can buy in case you need to cancel your trip.

Not refundable if they are "Special Offers/rates"
However, if canceled , most may permit the ticket to be used within a future ,specific time period, but only for that same destination or R/T.
