I've noticed that everytime we have sex his sperm doesn't stay in, it comes back out even when I'm laying down. Do you think this could be a sign of a bigger problem or could it be the problem to why I can't get pregnant?

My hubby and i were kinda having the same problem and when i asked the doctor about it, she said that that is not the cause of our infertility issues...she says that there are sooo many millions of sperm that it doesn't matter if some of it comes out, as long as the one makes it to the egg...anywho, have you guys gone to get tested yet? They will test you both individually, they did a Hysterosalpingogram to test if my uterus/tubes were blocked and they tested his motility...eventually they put him on clomid which for some unknown reason boosts sperm count and about 3 months later i was pregnant...my advice to you, go to a doctor and ask for help...

PS: Singlemomof10, that was a very narrowminded comment, she obviously is mature enough to have had a long relationship and its none of your business when she decides to get married...you're truly one to speak with a username such as yours...

I just read your question and I first got to say the ones who answer with stupidity should be blocked from answering civilized questions.
I know where you are coming from I have been ttc for more than 14 years with no luck. But One thing I just found out is Thyroid plays a really big role in your fertility unfortunately my doctor just ignored that I am hypothyroid I started my period at 15 which in normally a great sign of hypothyroid. At 34 my NEW doctor put me on synthyroid. I really would ask to have a blood test done to see if you have thyroid problems one thing to remember .3-3.4 tsh is preferred to be able to conceive. Thyroid can prevent you from ever conceiving. Ask your doctor your level do not take" it is normal. Old levels were .5-5.5 but now they know that women either can't conceive or have frequent miscarriages when there levels are not in the lowest levels .3-3.4 ideal is 2 .

As for the coming out part don't worry lay down and put your legs on the top of the couch and prop a pillow under your bum so your tilted and stay that way for 20-30 minutes.

Good luck to you

Well, what you see coming back out of your body is not his sperm necessarily but his semen, which is basically the carrying case if you'll excuse my lame analogy for the sperm. I guarantee that probably a few of the sperm are going to make their way up into your cervix. Were you on birth control before trying to conceive? Sometimes, birth control can cause it to be hard to conceive for a while after you stop taking it. I think it's probably about time to schedule an appointment with your OB/GYN though. He can answer your questions better than I. Good luck.

How would you know if his sperm is coming back out. The sperm is the very first thing that is ejected on orgasm. If you are trying to get pregnant and you are not having much luck i suggest that you stop trying and just enjoy the sex. That is what I had to do and i got pregnant the same month i stopped trying...Just have faith and when it is meant to be it will happen. Good luck

Within seconds of ejaculation the man's sperm has already started making its way into your cervix. The stuff that comes back out is mostly just semen and the sperm are already where they need to be. My dr's philosophy on this is have sex, go to sleep. Don't get up to go pee or anything. I always put my pantyliner in my underware first to catch any leakage. Also, if you've been trying for 2 years then it is time to see a dr. to assess your and your boyfriends fertility.

To conceive you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your boy friend to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

You mentioned about sperms coming out. After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your boy friend to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

Since you have been trying for 2 years, I would talk with your doctor. It can take time to get pregnant, but after trying for a year, it's time to explore fertility issues.

my doctor told me something a long time ago that i never was told by any other doctor. after i had my child my uterus tilted backwards, he said that if i ever wanted more children, that i should have sex in the doggie style and lay flat on my stomach after for about 20 min. (give or take) after sex. the sperm would never make it in other wise. did it work? i don't know i decided to stay on my back...LOL good luck!!!!

When laying down try raising for legs for 20 minutes. I had the same problem and starting lifting my legs on the bed head and it works!
