In law, when a sales assistant insists on trying to sell me an extended guarantee, can I legally nail his scrotum to a counter ?

I'm glad I didn't meet you when I was a sales assistant! I worked for MFI, and we had to offer extended guarantee's with our appliances. We were given financial rewards for selling them, however, we were bollocked if we did not sell enough of them. I did make a tidy packet in rewards for selling them, we had vouchers which could be used in high street stores, restaurants etc. However, Extended warranties on most electrical items are not worth buying, it's just money for old rope for the company concerned. I no longer work in sales (thank God), and if i was asked if i wanted an extended warranty now, I too, would probably take the same action as you!

Well........it's his job to try and screw you - so why don't you just screw him back? Or rather HIS back - to the nearest wall! Keep him out of other shoppers hair for a while.

Extended warranties aren't worth the paper they get you so sign in blood on!
