Talisker, Macallan or Laphroaig. Single malt. Nothing else is worth bothering with.

I am a JD gal myself. Now JD seems to have a bad reputation because you always see bad guys, drunks and destructive artists drinking JD in the movies. But my mom’s drink, when she did drink which wasn’t much, was JD and I gravitated there myself. Now whiskey drinkers are picky about their whiskey. I have noticed that if you are a whiskey drinker, you never drink or consent to the bar whiskey but go for your brand. Each type has its own life, smell, taste and effect. JD has a slight burn when it goes down and is particularly good when you are feeling sick. One shot with a very hot bath will help you sweat out all the bad stuff. A nice Irish Whiskey is Tullamore Dew, much smoother than JD. My final comment is that people who don’t drink whiskey, thinks those whiskey drinkers will be the first to kill their livers. This is only true if you drink like a “fish.” I am often surprised at folks who willing take mixed bar drinks, such as an electric Ice Tea or Sex on the Beach or any other of those really killer concoctions, and then look at me as if I am the hard drinker! At least I know what I am drinking, know my limits and can gage myself. Why whiskey? It has attitude and distinction! LOL And that is that. Tootles.

A dram is only 10cc, about a third of an ounce.

If you're drinking Highland Park.....I think you'll find that is WHISKY and not whiskEy (American)!
Try a 12yr Glen Ord - my favourite :) the 30yr is just waaaaaay too expensive!!

I enjoy a wee dram or three myself.
Why whiskey------cause it's the only drink.
Why not-----------I can't think of a single, or even a double, reason.

Why not?
If you aren't an alcoholic, I don't see anything with a quick shot or two. As long as you aren't driving anywhere. I think I might just go have a drink right now.
