Why is there no memorial at the WTC yet? Don't you think it is about time?

No, a memorial is not needed. The best memorial to those murdered by Islamo-facism would be to wipe the terrorists out world wide. A memorial in NYC would only be an expensive "feel good" measure at taxpayer expense. I would be against it no matter how it was funded, the money can be better spent elsewhere.

The memorial is still in the planning stages. From what I hear, the people building it want to turn it into a "memorial of understanding" where we read about "why they attacked us so we can better understand them and forgive them" (which I think is total BS) and the families of loved ones lost in 9/11 do not want something like that.

Amazing its only about 5 years after the event and people want a memorial, but it took over 50 to get a national WWII memorial...who cares.

They are still planning it, you have no idea how much paperwork has to be filed and how many personal favors have to be called in to politicians before a building even is approved.

there is one, but it's small. there really should be something there with all the names of the people that died. that was so sad!!!!
