I have a 30 GB ipod and it's probably one of the best investments I've ever made. The only down side is that you have to do a lot of file converting for movies. Say I rent a DVD and I want to put it on the ipod, I have to convert the DVD to WMA format which take about 3 or 4 hours, and then convert the WMA movie to MP4...another 2 hours. Also battery life could be better.

I got the Creative Zen Vision M which is superior to the iPod 30GB for:
picture quality for photos and video (262,000 colors vs 65,000 on ipod)
longer battery life for video (4 hours of video vs 2 hours of video)
more choices for music purchases at lower prices (79cents, 88cents, and 99cents vs 99cents on iTunes)
works with subscription music services such as Yahoo Music Unlimited To Go, Rhapsody To Go, and Napster To Go. For as little as $10 a month you can fill the Creative ZVM with about 5000 songs and change them out with a virtually unlimited number of songs (over 1 million). Can't do that on an iPod.

It's hard to think of an iPod as a "great investment" when you can get much more music for much less money with a ZVM and subscription music.

If you just want a music, video, and picture player then I think its the iPod. If you want music, video, picture, and games, with the ability to surf the web then I say its the PSP.
