You do have a very tuff job and working with people that have been injured physically and emotionally. You are the one that's there for them to lash out at ...It's not anything you are saying or doing that's wrong, I don't think I would be responsible for what I said and done after being violated, scared, no control.....I think it comes with the territory hon.

You sound like me i help people all time, whether it be mind their children, loan them money, take them shopping or just there when they need some one. I understand they use you disrespect you, usually when you say no. Well stand up for your self say no an mean it let them know you are not thre to be walked over and treated like garbage. If they want your help they must learn to appreciate it and treat you with respect you deserve. if not stay away from these people. As they are selfish. They think you are easy pray because you are a kind person so they take advantage of that only you can stop it.

Unfortunately, some people don't take people seriously that can't express themselves well. Maybe you don't use proper vocabulary, or spell correctly. Beef up your intellectual power. Never stop taking the opportunity to learn more and more about everything. Not only will your own confidence grow, but others will also pick up on your newly found self respect. In most cases, they will treat you accordingly. With respect and honor. I'm sure this will help.

People do the same to me. It truly is hard to find a true friend these days. All you can do is continue to be the person you are and hope that maybe there is someone out there that is good enough to have the friend title. True friends will never put you down or hurt your feelings, they are there for you when you need them. Good Luck and don't let them get you down. As long as you know you are a good person, that is all you need.

Because they perceive you as a pushover and easy target. You have to stand up for yourself. You are a good hearted person and would never dream of treating anyone with disrespect, so you don't know what to do when someone treats you that way. Tell them you don't appreciate it and don't hang out with them if they continue.
Good luck.

you are doing the right thing treating people like you want to be treated in return. These people that put you down are just jealous of you, you are probaably a likeable person and tehy aren't. Many have to put others down so they can make themselves feel better.Just stick with your heart and do what you think is right. Words are harsh but a smile can disarm.

Hmm, I think I know what you're doing wrong. Well, actually you aren't necassarily doing anything wrong, but listen to this. It's wonderful you're polite and a good person, but do you tend to let people walk all over you? Say Bob (not real) said that your best friend was really retarted. You don't say anything. Here's what you should do. Bob: "Your best friend is retarted".
You: "No, she isn't Her mind is working fine, thank you."
See what I mean? Just don't let people walk all over you, and you'll be just fine!
Best of luck,

Its not you honey, its called life. There are good people and bad, and just stupid and ill mannered people. Don't give your time again to someone that doesn't deserve it. Hang on to the people that have the same standards you have. You will be a lot happier.

It seems to me that the natural laws of life give one back what one gives out - so, are you certain you are really giving your mates what you'd want back? Perhaps you might also need to think about WHO are you're real friends, and sort the pebbles from the dirt.
