If a Jewish person goes to court and is asked to put their right hand on the Bible, do they use a Torah instead?( likewise with a muslim and the Koran.)

Okay my stepdad works for the court systems...Jewish people have to swear on the Holy Bible, but Muslims have the option the place thier hand on the Bible or affirm...If they affirm they just take an oath, using no bible or koran...

I will assumeyou are talking about in the US, they have not sworn on a bible in court for years. They merely swear to tell the turth ( so help me God) The God part is sometimes left off also.
Only TV still uses the bible, since it makes a better show.

JoDe is correct. Jews believe in God, just not that Christ is their Savior. The oath goes like this : Do you solemly swear or affirm under the penalty of perjury that the testimony you will give shall be the truth?

Um...I dont think Bibles are even used in court anymore. The person testifying just raises their right hand.

most times they will not. they will simply just hold up their hand and speak the truth and nothing but the truth thing and that's it

I think no matter wat religion ur n ....telling the truth is acceptable.
