The basics:
Feed them
Provide shelter
Provide a place they can be active
Clean up after them

Most lizards need sunlight (or lamps) and humidity. Research about your little gecko. Don't be queasy about crickets or meal worms that you will feed them.

I had house geckos and they were cool and fun pets. I just had to make sure that they had enough moisture, light and heat. You can use a regular sun lamp bulb. I had to feed live food and try to simulate their natural environment. I guess it can be a lot of work but worth it if you enjoy these kinds of pets. If you do not want to keep spending money on meal worms or crickets you can breed your own..meal worms will live in the substrate and eat apples and carrots. You just have to put in new fruit when it starts to get too decomposed.
