Yeah. DId you get him when he was a baby? I know they fight a lot and im sure their tails are detachable so that might have been the case. (It grew back)

I had an iguana. He had been a token college kids pet. His name was Bob. His diet consisted of plain iceberg lettuce. Which didn't have enough nutrients and calcium.
Getting the variety pack of lettuces, meal worms and live crickets will help. Also cat food. Small spoonfuls of wet food. If the Iguana is small you need to snip their heads off before giving them to him. Meal worms are beetle larva and if the Iguana is small he may not have the digestive juices to properly digest them. The larvae will grow inside his stomach eating up whatever he eats and eventually die. I know that some reptiles can lose their tails and grow back. Not sure that happens with Iguanas

some info bout iguanas..i know alot has been in there bout bends in tails..could be broken or a lack of somethin in the diet...
first to the others..lettuce is bad for iguanas..i suggest you too go to site and check out what is a good diet for iguanas...and the next thing i want to add is not all iguanas tails are bent mine has a perfect tail never been broken or fell off so yes some igs are perfect..all depends on how you take care of them..

Something caused that bend like a fight or getting it caught some where. It won't affect anything about the health of your iguana

most iguanas have something different about their tail either they were broken off at one time or their just deformed with a big bend. it okay iguanas aren,t perfect.

is it a scar?if not, he may not be getting enough nurishment , he could be loseing fat deposits that were built up in his tail.
