Pharmacists are commanding salaries on avg $100,000 with nice sign on bonuses. Certain Engineering degrees from good Universities will yield crazy offers (ie: MIT, Carnegie Mellon, etc.)
However, if you lack interest in going to universities... learn a trade! After you've worked a few years and become proficient with your trade... you open up your own company. Believe it or not, you can make A LOT of money by working for yourself... especially for specialized tradesmen. Plumbers can earn above 100k/yr!
If you learn carpentry and building/construction in general, you can start renovating foreclosed/run down homes and resell or rent them back out.
My Dad never went to college and probably didn't even graduate from "highschool" in China. He immigrated here and started learning specialized trades. He owns his own real estate business and is doing extremely well; especially for starting at nearly rockbottom and working his way up the American Dream ladder. The one thing you need to remember is hard work pays off... and there are no easy ways to make money.

Careers in business, finance, engineering, science, and programming. Find out what skill sthat you're good at and actually like to do and go from there. Consider cost of living as well. $100,000 in New York isn't that much with state, federal, and city taxes if you live in the city. $100,000 goes alot further in a place like Atlanta. So consider cost of living.
