A valid driver's license is NOT a requirement to compete in NASCAR. Competitors must have a valid NASCAR license.

Not necessarily. There are kids 15 years old racing in Pro Cup divisions. And if you start at 15 in low level divisions thatn you will probably have a drivers license by the time you get into the upper divisions such as NASCAR.

Do you need to know how to swim before you participate in a triathlon? I would assume so, Nascar drivers operate motor vehicles.

yes sure you need drivers license, but as i recall "The days of thunder" Tom Cruise character had no license at all, but maybe i'm wrong, i saw that movie 10 years ago...
