If you have found baby birds outside, my response to you is to put them back. If they are feathered, they are called fledglings. They are at the point in their lives where they are learning to fly. This process is not immediate (as depicted in cartoons). It can take anywhere from 24-48 hours. During this time the parents continue to feed them on the ground. You probably just didn't see the parents.

Tomorrow morning, put them back outside where you found them. Make sure that you keep your pets indoors to allow them a chance to learn to fly without having to worry about being made a meal.

You also do not need to worry about having your "scent" on them. Most birds do not have a great sense of smell; this is an animal myth.

Do what is in the best interest of the birds...let them live in the wild as nature intended.

The best thing that you can do to feed the baby birds is to buy kitten food, it is high in protien and will give them nutrients they need to grow. What you do is take some of the kitten food and mix it with water to soften it up. That is the best way to feed them if they are young.

Where are the parents? They will take care of them. Unless youlike to chew the worms before you give them to the babies.
