i ve been asked to help find a family memeber who is in jail... he has been missing for two years and none of his family memebers know which jail he is in... so if you can please help me find a website that can track him down.

You can call your states department of corrections to find him in a prison in that state there are web sites under Department of corrections but it is better if you have his ss# date of birth and institutional # will help you find him if he is in prison.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no website that would allow you to search every prisoner in every jail in the United States. Most prisoners in this country are held by the department of corrections in the state in which they were tried and convicted - and all of these corrections departments are individually operated by the government of that state.
Many of the states DO have a searchable offender database - some provide a lot more information than others. If you know where your family member is being held, I'd recommend that you search one of the major search engines using the terms "Deparment of Corrections" and the name of the state, as in "Department of Corrections" "Florida".
There are sites out there that offer links, all on one page, to all of the different states' corrections websites - if you have absolutely no clue where your relative is being held, you might want to sit down with a few hours to spare and work your way through the list of sites.

yeah you can go to Offender tracking information tracking system in your state and you should be able to get something there. If that does not work try looking up (your state)department of corrections. I hope you find who you are looking for. Good luck

Here in my state we have that. Go to your county website and you should find it there. They have a jail register. Everyone that's been to jail and in jail. You should find him there. Go to yahoo in the search bar you can put your county jail register. You should also be able to call the jails and find out who is in there if you know their last name. Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!
