Does clockspeed matter in a processor because a intel core duo 1.8 i hear is way better then the 3.0 ghz p4?

clock speed does matter, but not as much as bus speed on your motherboard... as far as the duo 1.8 being faster than a p4 3.0 do the math the duo uses 2 x 1.8 = 3.6
