That would be for his doctor to determine. You may well have a child who's going thru puberty early. But there could be other reasons as well.

Of course the fact that you measured your child's penis is a little indiscreet and you might consider not embarassing your child like that from now on. If he's already developing he's likely to have a high testosterone level and will knock you on your can one of these days.

Please, do this right. I hope you have a special ruler you are making marks on as he grows up, so he has a keepsake of your discoveries. Also it will make a great gift to his fiancee the night of her bachelorette party. You can even keep it hanging just inside his bedroom door by the other ruler that is measuring how tall he is growing.

And please, don't stop there. This can also be a great educational tool. Make it into a practice mathematical word problem. "Honey, you are this tall and your penis is this long, now, what percent of your total body height is the length of your penis?"

Heaven forbid an 8 year old would have hair. Haven't you heard of waxing? shaving? tweezers? What kind of parent are you?

Nah, he's just an early bloomer. Take him to a doctor and they will prescribe something to supress his hormones for another two years or so. And stop feeding him fast food. That's the leading theory as to why kids are early blooming these days.
