Your question is making me think - there are movies that make me contemplate their meaning, movies that make me pay attention to every detail to get it, and then movies that just stay on my mind for days after watching because of their content -
1. Dead Man Walking
2. Fight Club
3. Bowling for Columbine
4. Farenheit 911
5. Roger & Me
6. Supersize Me
7. The Insider
8. Deliverance
9. 12 Monkeys
10. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
There's many others, but it's Friday night and my brain is done thinking.

#1 movie that made me think about it, and try to decipher all the meanings in it was "Donnie Darko". I have watched this movie at least 20 times and still catch new stuff in it every time.
