The confusion is that you're understanding that the USA is the good guys (they are), but you're assuming that Bush's torture tactics represent the USA (he doesn't).

Correction-you were already confused if you think Bush insists on torturing Muslims.
How could anyone capable of reading and writing possibly make that kind of a mistake?

Bush never insisted to torture muslims! It's the bad guys that are being 'tortured' - the terrorists! That, in this case, happen to be well of islamic faith!

Why was it OK to torture Vietnamese? We master-minded a prison for political and war criminals on Con Son Island with the cages being made by Halliburton (RMK-BJR...one of Dick Cheney's holdings) The power structure is that....POWER and they can do anything they choose....Good Guys, I guess you have never been in war. There are no good guys! It is brutal murder, blood, pain, and rather expensive to each man that serves in the military and deadly for civilians. Did it work in UK between the British and Irish, in the Philippines or dozens of other places?....but torture still hurts.

I don't like Bush, and think he sucks as a President. Not that I don't love America (I DO LOVE AMERICA), I just don't like Bush.

Anyway, that was totally off topic. I have not heard it put that way. however I have heard that Bush and his team of lawyers continually argue that the Geneva Convention does not apply to terrorists. Therefore, the right to torture? I am not sure. But I disagree as well.
God Bless,
Vic

If memory serves, the hijackers on 9/11 were of the Muslim persuasion. And, you call what we do torture? Putting women's underwear on prisoner's heads as opposed to beheading someone and putting it on TV for the world to see? We are the good guys and if you don't think so I invite you to leave.

Did a "tortured" Muslim personally relay this "mis"information to you? I don't recall Bush making such a proclamation, either!

You thought wrong. You were just a victim of US propoganda. But the good news is, you're a smart enough cookie to realize this hypocracy.
