If you're a teen or in your 20s stuff like this happens. If you exercise it's more likely to happen. Our hormones are not balanced yet.

Especially when young, periods are not always regular. It can take some girls years to regulate - it has to do with hormones, and whatnot. I have a friend who has never been regular, and it does drive her nuts.

This is normal, and having sex or not will nto affect your period a lot (unless you get pregnant). If it is painful, or super heavy, or you just can't stand not knowing when it is coming, talk to your mom, or a woman you can trust and talk to a doctor. There are medications like the pill that regulat your hormones, and there are other pills you can take that will jump start things.

It's not unusual to have your period irregularly when you're a teenager. Also if you're very active physically, that can make your periods happen less often. I wouldn't worry about it, but I know it's annoying not to be able to figure out when it will be. It might help to carry a tampon or pantiliner with you, just in case.
