Have a friend in Eau Claire -
the past 3 winters, they have been snowed in - can't go anywhere. Guess you won't know that, till we're closer to the dates. . . weather being so fickle these days. . .

Wisconsin really has a winter, so most of the hotels have indoor water parks to keep the kids occupied. Other than that , there's plenty of shopping in the area and if you're into winter sports like sking or snowmobiling, something can be found in the area.

There's plenty to do but in the resorts. The town is actually pretty dead during this time, I went in April and there was nothing to do. Look up dells.com for more info on off season events.

There is as mentioned, shopping, indoor water slides but also, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, Tobogganing, ice fishing,snowmobiling, Nature hikes,

i went there once and it seems as if all of the hotels have their own water park, both in and out of doors. be careful, its the king of all tourist traps.
