Since you are a Yahoo user, why not try the Yahoo Yellow Pages:

Look for "topsoil", "sand & gravel", or "trucking". Under trucking, look for owner/operators of dump trucks. They often know where to get topsoil. You might also check with local nurseries or garden centers. Check with local home builders to see where they get topsoil.

Good luck with your search.

Well I dont know if this is 30 miles or not but you can come down BELTLINE ROAD in IRVING texas and right before you get to the story road cross roads light there on the left coming from the north is a dirt place that sells it all. I was buying my pebble there when I had stalls to fill in a few years back. Or you can come down I 30 to Beltline next to lone star park in grnad prairie and come north into irving to find it on the right

one 0.5 acre for under $15,000?? Dude ... you'll have been smoking something unlawful there. I bear in mind identifying to purchase one fourth acre without city water or sewer [roads, capability and telephone in basic terms] in Detroit's some distance suburbs [possibly in basic terms 30 miles out] in the overdue Sixties for $7,000.
