As far as I'm concern the answer to your question is quite simple they want to immigrate partly and mostly for carreers opportunity, the countrys they live in shamely dont offer the same chances that we have here, and dont forget that they are over populated wich doesnt improve there chances to make a decent living, take China for example its one of the countrys that explote there labor force by paying them hardly anything wich is why us... meaning companys like Northface and others have there garmnet produce in China its cheaper, but hey I dont hold the truth its only my oppinion but it is base on facts.

It's because they have known worse times than Americans can even imagine... So bad that the worst and vilest of the US is nothing. Nothing is as it seems, really... To them, just as to you Europe is gorgeous and Asia is advanced, the U.S. is where the booty is, where the freedom and opportunities are, yes, even in the 21st century. To them, America is a place where people can get ahead by working hard and grabbing hold of opportunities, very unlike in the "old countries" where the elitist is the ruling class... (granted you could say the same of some corporate giants in the U.S.) Anyway, it's all in the eye of the beholder. America is still a very new nation-- not even 300 years old. The novelty still has not worn off, to put it simply.

All of the Europeans and Asians do not want to move to America. The ones who do have various reasons. Some are looking for job opportunities that do not exist in their countries. Others are looking for religious freedom, and despite the current problems with Christian tyranny in the USA, we do still have a lot more freedom with regards to religion than many other countries.
Basically, America certainly has its problems, and there are better places in the world to live. But there are also much, much worse places to live, and a country that looks great to some people may offer a terrible life to others.

Vile and corrupt? Sure we have our share, just like every other country. The weird thing is, people bash us daily yet millions want to come over here. We get blamed for all of the problems in the world, yet people still flock here for our freedoms. This world is full of hypocrits and morons, like yourself for instance. I dont want you or anyone else over here if you feel we are so vile and corrupt. Oh, which country is it that spends billions and sends people and supplies during disastors in other countries? Oh thats right the USA. And how many countries are willing to do the same for us....maybe England and Australia and Israel. So screw the rest of you.

Most of Asia is what you would call "3rd world" countries (exceptions are S. Korea, Japan, Singapore). Why wouldn't they want to come here? You can make more money. You have the opportunity for a better life for yourself and your family. Freedom.
Eastern Europe is almost as poor if not as poor as a lot of the Asian countries. So, again.. they want the same thing.
I'm sure there are millions of Cambodians that would love to trade their hut for your house.
