How can I capture a still frame from a DVD?

When I try to save the capture as an image file, it is a black box, or it remains in the spot where the movie was playing.

Download a compilation of programs called VCD galaxy it includes a a program call DVD 2 Avi. and this software includes this feature you are loking for..this compilation is quite old so you will find it for free..it's old but it works like a charm
