when an email is sent with an attachment on all computers, except this one, it takes a few seconds to send, however, on one computer, outlook, OE, thunderbird etc. all take between 2 to 10 minutes to send this same file. I have tried almost everything... how can I correct this? The other computers are connected via wireless, but this one is hard wired to the router, I tried to by pass router and connect directly to the modem and got the same results, connected in safemode same results. what can i do to speed up sending email from this machine?

perhaps the cable that you are using is not very good and is causing lots of transmittion errors. Perhaps the network card is hosed. Perhaps the drivers are buggy. Maybe its some sort of virus on the computer, have you tried a wireless card in this computer?
