from what i know, apple designed ipods for one way transportation of songs and stuff. just from the computer to the ipod, but it's not designed to put music from ipod to computer bcoz it helps support piracy or something. but if you look it up in google, they have softwares to put music from your ipod to your computer if your computer crashed and you lost your stuff. the thing is when i downloaded that program, it sort of didn't work. but maybe i did something wrong.

but here's another way. when you open your ipod documents in my computer (removable drive, i think?) you can open 'hidden files' in options i think. just click on 'show hidden files' and then you're gonna see a folder with random files named with 4 random letters like 'jkof' or 'dkle'. those are the songs you have in your ipod. copy them in your my music. and then choose to view the documents with 'details' (upper right hand corner) and then you can see the name of the artists, but not the name of the song. best way to see it, play the songs in itunes.

hope that made sense and that actually helped. let me know if you cant understand anything, ok?
