Yes. The laws preventing close blood relatives from marrying are there to prevent birth defects that come with children of incest. Such birth defects are most likely the original source of incest being considered morally wrong by most cultures.

Step siblings are not blood relatives, and therefore there is no problem with them having a relationship. The fact that their parents are married to each other makes no difference.

Greetings. I am an employee at the national registry here in Belgium and I know that in EU law they can get married as long as they are not related in any other way. Im pretty sure the rest is true for America.

Naturally!! Having NO genetic traits shared...of course, if one is a first generation African immigrant would be very good to check for sickle cell trait. It is being re-introduced into America and other places where the trait and the carriers of the trait all DIED OUT...sad...

no blood shared no law against ( the laws are not religious based as people think it's to prevent birth defects )some of THE OTHER answers are scary guess they missed the STEP- or they don't know the difference ( they may be the ones that didn't obey the law )

Well they're not blood related but I think if they've grown up in the same household they're not allowed to in the UK. I could be completely wrong with that though.

i beleive so the only reason inbreeding is illegal is because it causes deformation in children. therefore if the two are unrelated genetically i see no reason for the government to rule against their favor
