where would you get a mermaid to eat in the first place??

i guess it depends on which half you ate (the tail half or the human half)...

A mermaid would not be considered to be of the human species, so it wouldnt be cannibalism. Even with humanlike similarities, a mermaid would not be homosapiens.

A mermaid has a head, arms and torso that resembles a human female- an ape has hands like a human- would eating an ape be considered cannibalism? I doubt it, since we dont consider an ape to be human.

Are you a mermaid? If so, then, yes. If not, then it just makes you a carnivore.
