I have a ten gallon with a few guppies, mollies and a betta. I have some guppy fry in the tank also separated in a breeder net that are about 6 weeks old, they are starting to get their colors but are still small. I was wondering how big I should let them get before I let them into the tank with the rest of the fish, the betta is not particularly aggressive but I am worried he might see smaller fish as food.

Big enough that the other fish cannot fit them in their mouths. Check the size of the open mouths of your other fish, and the size of the guppy-fry. If they're about the same size or smaller, they will be eaten. If they are bigger, they won't. Even mother guppies eat their own young because they're small. It's a fish thing. Good luck.

Hi there, I'm not a professional, but, any guppies smaller than your biggest fish's mouth should not be released. If you have aquarium pieces such as wood, deco, etc. guppies will tend to hide if they feel threatened. But...no guarantees.
