Everytime I go jogging at my local park, there is this freaky guy that always tries to talk to me. I always try to ignore him. But he always says things to me. Yesterday it was kind of dark and he chased me. I totally thought I was going to get raped. He stopped when he inmediately saw people.I came home and cried because I was so scared. My mom says to stop going to the park. But I don't see how is that going to help. I really think I should call the police. Yet,if he didn't do anything to me what can I accuse him of?I am really scared and fear that he is going to do something to me. What if I get killed..or I don't know what to think anymore! I am dying...Can you guys please share your thoughts and tell me what can I do?Thank you..you guys have no idea how much I'll appreciated it. God Bless You.

He's stalking you. He won't stop unless YOU stop him. Call the police and tell them everything you can remember, the dates he made comments to you and be sure to tell them about the chasing.

Don't run alone and vary your time table, if he always hangs out at the park you may have to switch location to continue running.

You need to stop jogging in the park. Or, take someone with you. Excercise is not worth getting hurt over. You might consider getting a excercise machine in which you can exercise on at home. Like a treadmill. He sounds dangerous. Don't put yourself in harms way. If you don't want to stop jogging in the park you could call the police. Tell them that this guy has been following you and they could ask him to stop harrassing you. Of course you will have to go to the park and have the police follow you. This still may not help, there are a lot of sick people out there. This may only make matters worse. I would just get me a treadmill girl. Good luck!

You call chasing you until he saw people not doing anything? That's more then something. If he's made comments to you before and you have ignored him then that should have been his cue to leave you alone right there but since he didn't you have the right to call the police and let them know what's going on. I mean that should seem like stalking to the police cause every-time you go to the park he's there and making comments to you. Get an order of protection out so next time he comes close to you you can get him arrested. Be careful that's not something to play around with especially now that he's chasing you. That sicko! Good luck!

If you absolutely have to jog in the park, get yourself a can of pepper spray ... or even a travel-size can of aerosol hairspray ... something that is small enough to carry in your hand while you are jogging so it will be ready in an instant if you need it.

Do not hesitate to use it if you feel threatened.

Also, call the police. This man could be a sexual predator with prior arrests ... the police should definitely be interested. If it turns out that the guy is harmless, at least you'll know. And, if he is dangerous, you'll have helped get him off the streets so he can't hurt anyone.

Tell the police immediatley, I mean right now!
They may send in an undercover police woman to start jogging there. He may get chatty with her and follow her and get his *** busted!
It may well be that he was going to try to hurt you and got scared when he saw people there. If you just stop going to the park some other girl will and she may not be as lucky as you were. When you have spoken to the police they may ask you to look at some pictures to see if he is a known criminal, if he is new to it they some times panick and when they have commited their first offense and kill. Please stop this bas8ard before he hurts someone.
In future take someone jogging with you and be careful, don't be scared from this just learn from it, you are ok!

Unfortunately you have two options: Either bring a friend when you go jogging or don't go at all. Also, take some self defense courses to empower yourself and carry mace. The police won't be able to do anything until after the guy has attacked you. You may have to give up jogging but it's better than giving up your life.

call the police or go to the station if u feel more comfortable that way and tell them what's been happening to u. even if he hasn't done anything, he's continued to harrass u and even attempt to come after u. maybe they won't arrest him right away but they'll definitely take a look at him. maybe u can even convince an officer to hide somewhere near him and u can go jogging again. not sure if they'd do that though, but still, u need to tell the police. u might not be the only person he's tried to get at. what about all the others...

Don't go jogging at that park again. Or change the time you jog and do it with someone else. Don't jog alone. You can also just join a gym and jog there so you are not in the park at all.

I can't understand why you continue to go if you really feel this person will harm you Listen to your mother and find another place to run. If you are silly enough not to do this and still run in the park here is some advice .....Why don't you change the time of day you go to the park. Also you could report him as a supisious person. Don't go alone .

Don't stop enjoying life (running) because of one loser. Try to run with a friend next time or use another park if possible. Going running with friends will show him you're not alone and can protect yourself if necessary. And let your friends know how this guy is and where he hangs out, just in case...
