I love this series and have several favorite episodes. One of the best (IMO) is "Disaster" where the ship is hit by a quantum filament. The captain is stuck in the turbo lift with 3 children. Counselor Troi is in command on the bridge. Riker takes Data's head off and carries it to Engineering. The doctor & Geordi are in the cargo bay suffocating. And Worf is delivering a baby in 10-forward. Everyone is out of the element and doing their best to survive.

Would like to hear about your favorite episode and why you like that one in particular.

I have a lot of favorites, too.

The Robin Hood episode where Worf says "I am not a merry man"

The one where Picard is hit by this beam of light and wakes up on a planet and lives an entire life with a wife and children then wakes up on the bridge and just a few minutes have passed.

The one where there is a race who speaks in metaphors and Picard is down on a planet with their captain and they learn to communicate and fight this beast on the planet together.

Excellent show!

Do I HAVE to pick just one? I have two tied for favorite and I like them both equally, but for different reasons.

"The Inner Light" (Episode 525) and "Yesterday's Enterprise" (Episode 315).

"The Inner Light" was the one where a probe the Enterprise finds locks onto Picard and over the course of less than a 1/2 hour, Picards memory is infused with living a lifetime on a planet that's been dead for a thousand years. This episode won the 1993 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation. The award was given at the World Science Fiction Convention in San Francisco. "The Inner Light" was the first television program to be so honored since 1968's Star Trek episode "The City on the Edge of Forever".

"Yesterday's Enterprise" was also very cool. I always love a good space battle! It was a neat way to bring back Tasha for one episode too. Although the resulting episodes with Denise Crosby as a Romulan were kind of weak.

Those are my favorite!

I love the time travel/changing ones. My favorite is "Parallels" (Episode 163). Late in the episode, Data theorizes (sp?) that every decision we make changes the course of our lives and, on a larger scale, the course of history. I LOVE THIS STUFF! (Example: If Adolf Hitler had stayed in Art school, the Nazi movement never would have happened.)

I like the one where Picard gets tortured by the Cardassians. I really like Picard more so cause Patrick Stewart did such a great job of portraying him. And you got to see what a great actor he really is in that episode.

The Inner Light

Where Picard lives his entire life (subjectively) among a planet whose people are doomed.

He has a family and he learns to play the flute.

I like the one where Troy and Dr. Crusher are in the holo deck working out. Are those not the two hottest female crew on the TNG....lol
