go to an Autozone and tell them you service engine soon light is on. They'll do a diagnostic check for free and tell you what your problem is and how to fix it. Ask them to clear the trouble code, which is basically telling the car that there is nothing wrong and the service engine soon light will turn off for a day or 2 while you fix the problem. Most likely its not a major problem just a sensor that went out somewhere so it wont cost u much to fix it. I'm 99% sure of it

Go to a parts store and they will pull the codes for you. This will tell you what you need to repair the vehicle. To delete the code you must use a hand held diagnostic tool to reset them. Get those codes before you erase them or you might wish you had of!! Good Luck! If you put the switch in the on position and remove the battery cable, you stand a good chance of blowing out the computer. DO NOT DO THIS! For the ford man, you need to check your statement about the #1 selling vehicle. News flash! They are not #1 and they are on the verge of bankruptcy. Gee I wonder why? HA HA!
