now it's in fashion to be 'different', which is understood as 'dark' among teens. This emo sh** its just a shallow 'gothicism', as wearing couple of black clothes and painting your eyes black. Shallow. but in fashion. All these emo teens will grow out of it in couple years.

who cares, people can be what they like, it's a free world, isn't it?
there's really 2 types of emo. posers, who just do it to get attention, and I hate, and real emo's who actually are/were depressed and do/did cut themselves not just cos everyone else is/was, but because they feel/felt like that. get it? and the music is brilliant.

Simply put - it's a trend. Everyone went grunge at the start of the 90's, then nu-metal in the mid 90's (if not punk).

I don't know, you kids and your metal trends! lol!

Because it's the new fad and if you don't jump on the fad- wagon then you don't fit in! duh ;-)
Emo is just the new gothic.. in a couple years there will be something else.
