I have planted Purple Fountain Grass- Pennisetum setaceum rubrum in several of my client's gardens. It grows a LOT here in SoCal. You can either deadhead it often, or cut it WAY down to the ground(about 1 ft) about twice a year. It wants to flop onto other plants when it gets large. And they do get large in full sun.

Good luck :-)

If it's already planted, not much care at all. Water it once a week during summer.

Pretty tolerant of anything. If growing, just water occasionally.
