I am a true gamer, I have owned (and still have) every system from the Atari 2600 to the 360. I also used to work in the industry. The XBOX360 is the way to go for right now. The graphics are superior to anything else on the current market and in the near future. Sony's PS3 is using Blu-Ray and will have the ability to shame the 360's capabilities. Unfortunately it will have PS2 graphics for the first 8-12 months until the programers learn the blu-ray system and all it can do.
So go XBOX and wait until Sony's price drops and the quality rises.

the 360 for one reason:
dead rising.
It's as if I'm psychic, because I kept on saying, "wouldn't it be cool if there was a game like Timesplitters, except you were in everyday urban, suburban, and rural areas, and instead of just guns, you can use common items, too. Like baseball bats 'n shovels and chainsaws and hockey sticks. Which is like Dead Rising.
Basically, you're a reporter looking for a pulitzer prize. And boy, have you found one. An entire town is quarantined, and you as the reporter go to check it out. You realize something's wrong, so you go to the top of the mall. Eventually, you find out that the town is overrun by zombies. You think that the mall is safe, but it's anything but. Every single zombie goes towards the mall. Fortunately, you have an amazing arsenal of weapons in the mall. Chainsaws, hockey sticks, lawnmowers, dumbells, baseball bats, sythes...you name it. You may be thinking that it's just like resident evil. Well it's not. First of all, the weapons are free, so you don't have to buy them. Second of all, it's more over a combat game instead of a survival horror. And third, the most zombies on screen in Resident Evil are probably, what, like 12? Well, in dead rising, they're everywhere. EVERYWHERE. At the minimum, there's gotta be 20 on screen. Max? 50. But the chainsaw's on your side. Plus the zombies aren't hard to kill, there's just so many of them. It's pretty violent. Way more violent than Resident Evil. If you want to see it, go to www.capcom.com/deadrising

Besides the obvious choice not listed (Wiiiii!), I want the PS3, but I'm going to wait. I want to see the sales figures on it. If the price seriously limits the number of buyers, developers are less likely to spend the time and enery making/porting games for it. If things look grim, I'll get a 360.
Of course, in the end, I know myself too well. As soon as Halo 3 comes out, I'll get a 360, and as soon as the next-gen Final Fantasy comes out, I'll sell a kidney and get a PS3.

PS3 is a diareah system that stole tech from 360 and Wii! it has no imagination at all! Blu ray on ps3 is a lie! Ps3 graphics have lowwww color value and games suck! it does not make its own games! Wii and 360 is the way to GO!!!!!
